One of our members Taylor W. created this image that I found to be very useful especially for beginners to hone their discipline and make sure to not enter a trade until they have gone through their check list to make sure the market and chart conditions are optimal.

You can’t take every signal, every signal will not be a good trade. But if you take a signal that comports with your check list, almost every trade you take will be a winner. There are exceptions and there will be losing trades, what we are after is the HIGHEST PROBABILITY TRADES possible and that is what you get with Pivot-Scalper-2 especially when you incorporate this Traders Check List into your game.

Combining Indicators?

Pivot Scalper is to be applied to its own chart.

DOUBLE TAIL USERS: Do NOT combine DOUBLE TAIL to the same chart using Pivot Scalper. You will see candles on top of candles - looking weird and confusing.

Chart Settings

You can use the settings in the video to setup your Pivot Scalper. The setup is your Basic setup and is ideal / recommended for you to use with your Pivot Scalper.

Settings to Use
Use the image below to match your settings accordingly in the Indicator's window for Pivot Scalper.

Step 1 : Open the Indicators Window

To apply / set your Indicator, open the Indicators Window. You can do this one of 3 ways:
1.) Right click on chart - select Indicators,
2.) Use hotkeys: CTRL + i , or
3.) Click on the Indicators icon at the top of the chart

Step 2 : Modifying the Settings

NOTE: Be sure you clicked on Pivot Scalper in the bottom left section of the Indicators window to be able to modify the settings. Use the image below to match your settings accordingly.

Step 3 : Applying Your Settings

After you've updated / modified the settings as instructed, click on the APPLY button at the bottom of window and then click OK to close it. The chart will reload with the new settings.

I'm getting a blank Chart

I cannot find TOMbars2

These troubleshooting steps will help you identify the problem and how to resolve the issue.

If you do not find TOMbars2 listed in the drop down menu to select, then review the following instructions:

The main issue stems from other custom indicators that have been previously installed.
Custom indicators developed by other providers usually are coded with a layer of protection.
The problem with this protection is that all indicators, standard and custom, are designed with a core level of coding required to be used. The custom indicator is then developed upon that. When the developer adds a final layer of protection it's usually to prevent users from opening it up and modifying it to resell,
When they do this it can create problems between custom indicators, such as blocking.

To be able to locate the problem you can try troubleshooting one of two ways: (Unfortunately there is no simple way to work this problem out. These troubleshooting steps can feel tedious and overwhelming so go slow)

You will need to pick which way you want to approach your troubleshooting: Way 1 or Way 2

Way 1 : Is faster and less risky - Ideal for Novice & Advanced users.

Install NinjaTrader onto a different computer. (This should be a new installation without any custom indicators installed.)
Of course you will need to have access to a Data Feed provider and make a successful connection.
Submit your new machine ID to be activated using the Activation Form.
While you are being activated, proceed with the Download & Installation process. (You will be installing ONLY OUR PRODUCTS, do not install any other custom files / indicators.)
At this point you will see TOMbars2 listed as option and you can proceed to using our product(s).

Way 2 : Is complicated & risky - Advanced users only.

In this method you will be temporarily disabling all other custom indicators.
Turn of NinjaTrader
On your desktop create a new folder. Give it any name you want.
Then make your way to the NinjaTrader 7 Files via your Documents. Open Windows Explorer. The path should look similar to: This PC >> Documents >> NinjaTrader 7 >> Bin >> Custom
Inside the Custom folder you will want to highlight all the indicators EXCEPT for ours.
While you have them highlighted you can then COPY the files, use Right Click and select COPY or on your keyboard hit Ctrl and C (to copy).
From there make your way into the new folder you created on your desktop and PASTE the files there. Review your files to make sure you have copied ALL custom indicators except for ours.
Return to the Custom folder and while you still have the files highlighted, DELETE them from the folder. (Remember you made copies of them and placed them into the new folder, so do not feel as if you are going lose everything you worked on.)
Now that you have safely copied over your custom indicators into a different folder, you can then restart your NinjaTrader 7.
Do not be alarmed if you get pop up messages from NinjaTrader 7 about any of the indicators you moved to your desktop folder. The point here is to have a clean slate of custom indicators, meaning our custom indicators.
Once you have launched your NinjaTrader and made your way to a new chart to red0 the Validation process, you will should see TOMbars2 now listed.
After that you can then shut down NinjaTrader 7. (At this point you will be putting the copied custom indicators from the desktop folder back into the Custom Folder within NinjaTrader 7.)
Go into the new desktop folder where you're copied custom files and highlight the ones you wish to put back. (Some customers are interested in finding which custom indicator created this problem, so they return the custom indicator files one by one; if you are doing to do this then you will want to make sure your NinjaTrader 7 is turned off every time you move a file back into the Custom Folder then restart NInjaTrader 7. From there go to a Chart >> Indicators window >> Period section >> Type , and see if you still see TOMbars2. If you do not see it, then you can conclude the indicator you just moved back into the Custom folder was the problem indicator blocking ours.)
After you have returned all your custom indicators back into the Custom folder within NinjaTrader 7, you can proceed as usual using NinjaTrader 7 and your indicators.

If you have followed the steps to self troubleshoot the problem and still do not see TOMbars2 listed as an option, please submit a ticket to have us assist in with the troubleshooting.

Step 2 : Locate the .ZIP File

To prepare yourself for the installation (import) process, you will need to know where you downloaded the .zip file. Take a moment to locate them in your computer. Make a (mental) note where you found them, you will need them later in the install (import) process.

Step 3 : Launch NinjaTrader Software / Application

Launch your NinjaTrader software / application. The first window it brings up is the Control Center. It is here, in the Control Center, you will import the .zip file.

Step 4 : Import the .ZIP File

In the Control Center window, click on FILE >> UTILITIES >> IMPORT NINJASCRIPT.

Step 5 : Pop-up Message During Import

By NinjaTrader default a message window will pop up with a general warning about importing file. Click on YES.

Step 6 : Locate the .ZIP File You Downloaded

A new window will open for you to locate the .zip file. Click on the .zip file you wish to install and at the bottom of the window click OPEN. The window will disappear and this will trigger the installation into NinjaTrader.

CONFIRMATION OF INSTALLATION (IMPORT): NinjaTrader will pop up a message confirming the import was successful.

ERROR OCCURS WHEN IMPORTING (INSTALLING): If you receive an error when installing (importing) the .zip file, then you will want to take a snapshot of the error and submit a ticket with NinjaTrader's Support. You will want to give NinjaTrader's Support an opportunity to resolve the issue that created the error. You can reach NinjaTrader's Support via their site >> NinjaTrader Support

After you have resolved your issue with NinjaTrader's Support, you may continue to the next step in your installation process.

Step 7 : Installation (Import) of .ZIP File Completed

It is always a good habit to relaunch your NinjaTrader just after importing a new .zip file. Shut down and exit your NinjaTrader. As NinjaTrader shuts down, a window will pop up giving you options to save or not save. You will need to select YES TO ALL. This will allow NinjaTrader to register the newly installed (imported) .zip file.
